Edi's Locomobile (Steam-up)

Andrew Hawkswell, whom we first met in January '00 in York came to Switzerland from July 12 - July 19 2000 to make the Locomobile go. Here he is lighting the boiler, which is a rather difficult task.

Once going, the car would not stop, both the main steam shut off valve, and the acceleration valve are leaking. Andy and Oski are trying to release those two valves.

Done. It was Sunday afternoon, but Oski had materials at home to grind in the valves and Edi was able to find somebody with a lathe to machine a seat.
